By Christmas, the Council should have given an indication of how big next year's rate's increase will be. I predict that it will be over 10%: the third year in a row with a big increase.

If you think the Dunedin City Council rates have risen steeply, have a look at how much the Otago Regional Council rates have increased in recent times. They used to be negligible, but not any more!
ReplyDeleteI agree with you, Keith. I have just paid my ORC rates bill : $200. It does not seem very long ago that it was $20.
